The Luahine Alapa‘i, or Hapa Road, is a pedestrian and bike trail that is marked as a cultural and historical path. The road once connected the communities of na ahupua’a of Kōloa and Weliweli. The road was a highway of commerce and culture with flourishing industries including sweet potatoes, sugar cane, and taro. The protected path now remains in use of locals and visitors alike and a testament to the agricultural history of the area.
