This house was so great for our extended family of 13. Very large upstairs living/kitchen area is amazing. So spacious, a dining table that fit us all, perfect porch area, and views that just made staying in the house a highlight of our trip. We had some very memorable family times in that room. And everyone was very happy with their rooms. Ping pong in the garage was a hit too. Spectacular. Incredible.

When the title talks about views, you never know if its true. However this view was amazing! We has 9 adults, 2 tweens, 2 toddlers and an infant. It was a perfect stay for us! And only a 6 min walk to the beach! WOW

This home is all you want and more! The views are fantastic. The home is well equipped in all rooms. The kitchen has everything one needs and there are two grills on site, one on the upper deck and one on the ground level. The bedrooms and bathrooms are extremely nice and large. There are multiple sitting areas, large enough for groups or one can escape to be by themselves.The detached home is very nice too, with two bedrooms and two bathrooms plus a sitting room and kitchenette. It was nice having laundry facilities on site! Easy walk to multiple beaches.

Hale Hapuna is absolutely beautiful!<br/>Spacious, spotless, and in a fantastic location, this home truly has so much to love. The beds are very comfortable, and the furniture is clean and cozy, making it easy to settle in and feel right at home. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the utensils and gadgets you need to make anything from a quick snack to a full meal.<br/><br/>One of the best parts is the location, you can walk to the beach, a surf shop, and couple of eateries (Puka Dog & Brennecke Beach Broiler). It&#x2019;s the perfect spot to enjoy a morning or evening walk.<br/><br/>The only downside is that the upstairs area doesn't have A/C. However, there are plenty of ceiling and floor fans, and you can open the windows to let in the cross breeze. Just note that the sliding windows don&#x2019;t have screens, so we had a few feathered visitors fly in! Honestly, we didn&#x2019;t mind, it added to the charm. That said, it would be great if the owner added screens for future guests.<br/><br/>Even with that small issue, I would absolutely recommend Hale Hapuna to anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing stay in paradise. We'd come back in a heartbeat!<br/>

Our family of 8 stayed at this property to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. The one word that comes to mind is "breathtaking"! The views from the lanai (mountains, ocean, birds, etc) were absolutely spectacular. The decor of the home was so tasteful and beautiful, and the layout was perfect for our family. We loved having all of the bedroom on the lower floor, and the massive living/entertainment area upstairs. We used every bit of the home, from the TV area to the dining area, to the hangout space. There was plenty of space for all of us to spread out, but also provided perfect spaces to spend quality time together. Kitchen was incredibly well stocked, and more than enough towels and beach gear. The ping pong table was also a bit hit with the grandkids! <br/><br/>This property definitely exceeded our expectations - We will definitely revisit during our next visit to Poipu!

The views are beyond amazing. The house was quiet and very accommodating for our family of 14. Everything was as described by the ad, except the pictures don&#x2019;t match any of the updates. Having air conditioning in each bedroom was most important and a welcome repeat for a good nights sleep. Waking up to the sounds of birds singing was so relaxing and the kitchen was well stocked with the exception of a waffle maker and scissors. There were plenty of soaps, shampoo, paper products and other necessities. The hot water was great for showers. All of my family loved the house especially the drop dead gorgeous views !

This home was better than we expected. It appeared to be recently updated with new furniture, kitchen items and even new beach towels. We loved the two outside showers and the beach equipment had everything we needed, including boogie boards and bikes. The home was spacious, even for our family of 12. We will definitely stay here again!

The home and location were as described . The only downside was the heavy construction going on next door on Thursday, Friday, Monday , Tuesday of my stay . By heavy construction I mean trucks and equipment -lumber impacting the ground at 7:15 am. Home improvements are normal in a neighborhood so that&#x2019;s life. Aside from that, we had a great stay at this wonderful home.

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful property! Our family of 12 had ample space to spread out. The views from the amazing balcony were one of my favorite things to wake up to every morning! Coffee on the comfy lounge chairs while I watched the sun come up was incredible. Little birds would come and visit while we were outside. The whole place had more than everything we needed and wanted for the beach and fully equipped kitchen! Thank you for hosting our family!

Everything was perfect! The hospitality, the respect of privacy, and mostly: the home! This home was set up beautifully! Clean, organized, great kitchen and eating area! There was a family sitting area, a TV area, an eating area, relaxing huge lanais, a ping pong area, some fun beach items, and a separate cottage for the younger adults, even a beautiful floral arrangement! The people Garden Island were so helpful and addressed our needs immediately. I want to go back right now!!

Our extended family had a wonderful vacation at this house. Stunning views of the surrounding mountains and ocean. Plenty of space for all to gather for meals and relaxing. Convenient to nearby beaches with plenty of beach chairs, toys, etc. and even a wagon to tow them in. Hated to leave!

We had a great family vacation for our group of 9. This is our second time staying at Hale Hapuna. The first time was for our group of 6 adults and collectively, we have since added three kids, ages 6, 8, and 12. Hale Hapuna is the perfect vacation home with enough room for everyone. It's walking distance to the beaches and a few minutes drive to shops. We had a wonderful stay and highly recommend!

Lovely home near Poipu beach. Perfect for our family reunion. Everything was just fabulous. The house is very well outfitted and maintained, and the property management folks checked in with us regularly to make sure we had what we needed. They even texted with a gentle reminder about putting out the trash! Definitely want to stay here again!<br/>

We had an amazing stay at the house! It was a huge house with beautiful views and cool breezes on the Lanai. There were plenty of beach towels/ chairs, and the kitchen was fully packed with essentials. Weather was a little warm, so wish there was AC in the guest cottage but aside from that, the house was prefect for our family reunion. Great location close to beach. Would definitely stay there again. Host/ Management was very responsive!

Myself, my wife and 8 other friends stayed here for 6 nights. The home was nicer than I even expected. Tons of space, cool tile floors throughout, lots of seating and amenities. It was very clean and conveniently located in Poipu. Most things were only a 5 minute drive and the airport took no time to get to especially with the beautiful drive. The views from the third story lanai were incredible and the photos don&#x2019;t do it justice. It&#x2019;s impossible to capture on film. Amazing beach views, but the mountains were the show stopper with stunning electric greens and beautiful Weather moving in and out. I could have just stayed on the lanai for a week and been happy. The beach was about a ten minute walk and the neighborhood was comfortable and quiet. There is no other place I would want to stay on the island.

The Hale Hapuna was just perfect for our family. It was so spacious, with the many comfortable chairs, sofas, family room, etc. Loved the large dining table. The kitchen was so well stocked with whatever needed for preparation of meals. The view from the deck was absolutely gorgeous... the beautiful, lush mountains and the evening sunset. I am originally from Kauai, and I had forgotten this beauty! Enjoyed it every day. There were only 2 things that needed repair. I was impressed with the immediate response in correcting problem. Outstanding! Thank you!

This house is amazing for a large group of people. We pretty much lived on the porch so we could enjoy the wonderful view. The house is well lived in. There were some things throughout the house in disrepair but nothing that impacted our enjoyment of the space and the rental company was super responsive.

Our entire family loved staying in this home. The location is great, the views are incredible, and the home was just right for us. Garden Island Rentals was very responsive and we appreciated the ways this property helped the adults and the kids have a great vacation. Highlights for us: the great room where we spent all our time at home together, the outdoor showers, and getting to see the sunrise and sunset.

Our group of 15 family members enjoyed our stay. The family room and dining room were perfect for family gatherings and the upper wrap around deck had gorgeous views for all to enjoy! The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to prepare and serve meals and dual dishwashers came in handy! Having lawn chairs, snorkel gear and beach towels provided was a nice convenience and the grandkids had a blast playing ping pong games! The sofa cushions throughout the home and on the deck lounge chairs could use refreshing would be my only suggestion for improvement.

House has beautiful 180 degree views and is perfect for large groups. The house has plenty of kitchen items,plates, utensils, cups etc. 2 dishwashers was sooo handy. All bedrooms are on the 2nd floor,then you go upstairs to the great room, which is amazing, kitchen, tv room, dining room and living room is expansive with views from everywhere. Room for everyone to spread out. One of the best houses we've rented.

3 families, 13 people aged 15 and up had an absolutely wonderful vacation. We cooked almost all our meals, spent lots of time on the deck playing cards and enjoying the view, walked to nearby beaches daily. A stunningly beautiful house in a fabulous location.<br/>My only criticisms: stove top and pans are not great (but there's an electric counter-top griddle that works very well). Oven and BBQ are great. The furniture upholstery is a bit aged and stained, but overall the house was very clean and well maintained.<br/>

This house was incredible for our family to enjoy for our first time to Hawaii. It is very spacious and beautiful. We really enjoyed Poipu and the proximity to multiple beaches. Hale Hapuna was perfect for our extended family of 16. The views are even more spectacular than the photographs! When we were not at the beach or exploring, we spent most of our time on the wraparound deck. If we had an issue (nothing major), the management company was very responsive. It seemed like they always answered my texts within minutes. I would highly recommend this property and Garden Island Rentals.

What a ridiculously beautiful house and setting. The deck was just perfect, spent hours at there. Loved that we could walk to the beach with kids. Loved that we could fit all our family in one place, comfortably! Simply epic

We had the most magical time staying at Hale Hapuna! The wrap around lanai balcony is spectacular and the views are insane! It&#x2019;s the perfect place for a large group and only 5-10 minutes walking to the beach and the Grant Hyatt. The house had everything we could possibly need (snorkel gear, bodyboards, beach chairs and umbrellas, etc). We will definitely be staying here again in the future.

We stayed here for a week with a group of friends and four toddlers. The house was basically perfect! It had lots of space to relax, an expansive view of the mountains and ocean, and was a short 10-minute walk to great beaches for kid playing, snorkeling, and boogie boarding. <br/><br/>There were so many nice touches that made our stay easier. The garage showers for post-beach cleanup were great. The two houses for quiet nap times were very convenient. There was even a great selection of beach stuff for us to borrow - beach towels, chairs, shade umbrellas, sand toys, and a couple assorted snorkel masks and swim fins! The management company sent a couple reminder texts throughout the week, and were easily available via text when I had a question. It's just a well-stocked house, a great space, and a perfect location.

Stay at the house was great. There were a couple minor issues with the kitchen sink and dryer but the management company was awesome trying to fix the issue and it was just a small inconvenience and did not impact our fun time. The home was spotless when we arrived and that is very important to me. <br/>One of the best things about the house besides the view from the balcony was the beach chairs and towels provided as we had a big party and there was plenty for everyone and great quality. <br/>The kitchen had everything we needed and was fully stocked with dishes, glasses, utensils and good quality. <br/>It was my birthday and the day we arrived the rental company left me a beautiful bouquet of island flowers and a birthday card. So sweet! <br/>Moving forward I will try to VRBO again from the rental company as they are wonderful to work with.<br/>Carolyn from Az

It's a wonderful beautiful home. We just had an issue with broken toilet seats and no air but it was fixed promptly . The washer and dryer don&#x2019;t work to well especially the dryer doing towels but the rest of the home was wondering and clean.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed this house, it was in great condition and very clean! The views were amazing, the huge upstairs area was fantastic for hanging out. Bedrooms were spacious with wonderful attached bathrooms! Air conditioning in the bedrooms was a huge plus! Plenty of space for parking. The ping pong table, 2 huge private outdoor showers and ALL the beach gear were an added bonus! We had an issue with a couple of the appliance but they promptly sent a repair man out to fix them. Would definitely rent this house again!!

Hale Hapuna is a great vacation rental and the view from the upper lanai is much better in person! Felt like we had our own private perch overlooking all of Poipu each day. 10 minute walk to beaches! Garden Island Rentals was super easy to work with and very responsive. We will be back!

My large family just spent a week in this beautiful home. The spacious upstairs and bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms made it really convenient for everyone. A few things: the guest house does get a bit warm during the day, but it's easy to cool down at nighttime with open windows and fans. The upstairs of the main house stays pretty cool because of the massive amounts of windows and a constant breeze. The blinds throughout the house/guest house are not blackout by any means, and let all the light through, so just be prepared. There was also a panel missing in the master bedroom of the guest house (so not much privacy there). The WiFi extender was broken (probably very recently) in the guest house, but I'm sure they've fixed that now. Regardless, the stay was wonderful. The kitchen was well stocked with supplies (we cooked a lot). The fridge has filtered water/ice. All the beach items were extremely helpful. And of course, the view is absolutely worth it.

14 of us stayed in this beautiful home. We chose it because of it's location and the common space for all 14 of us to assemble. The views from the top floor were amazing. Anyone renting must be able to do stairs. The place was very clean. We would most definitely rent this place again.

We have a large family of 14, composed of mostly adult kids and spouses. This home was perfect for our family. We especially enjoyed the spacious upstairs, basically one large family room with various areas for games, TV, reading or sitting, and dining, so we could spend time all together. The kitchen is well-equipped and modern. The balcony is fantastic, with beautiful wrap-around views of both the mountains and the ocean, including sunset views. Close proximity to beach. Would definitely rent again!

From the moment I drove up to this house to the moment I drove away from this house, it was an amazing experience. The GIR team is very friendly and helpful. HH is amazing from the huge bedroom with A/C to the huge entertainment/dining/kitchen on the top floor. Every morning I have a 180 view of Poipu beach + Napali Mt + Sleeping Giant Mt from the expansive deck. Cleaniness of this place is top notch...very very well maintained. You can beat the number of bathrooms at this house. If I have to complain about something, it would be the fact that HH only has 5 wine glasses and the deck lounger's cushions are a bit old. When I return to Kauai, I would definitely stay at Hale Hapuna.
