Hale Ma’ana Hou in Poipu has 5 air-conditioned bedrooms, 4 baths and 2 half baths, including 2 master suites, and can accommodate 10 people with comfort. With 3 kings, a queen, 2 twin beds and equipped with wireless high speed access and grace, it is ideal for both family and executive rentals while on Kauai. AC is ONLY in bedrooms and upstairs living room.

While you watch and listen to the waves rolling up on the sandy beach below you will delight in preparing and serving large or small groups in an over-sized kitchen and elegant dining room. A separate family room on the lower level, with convenient wet bar close to outdoor activities, leads to the backyard lawn, pool, and beach. This is the perfect place to come enjoy Kauai. We love sitting on the lanai, watching the ocean and scouting for whales and watching sunsets. Babies beach is great to introduce our granddaughter to the ocean. Lunch at Brennecke's is a most with every visit

The Hale Ma'ana Hou Home is the best vacation rental we have experienced. Our family of nine ranging in age from 13 to 70 enjoyed a week in paradise. The home was beautiful, well stocked with anything you could possibly want or need, was large enough to give everyone their own space and separation when needed and to top it off we had the best seats for sunsets and turtle visits every evening.

I am a repeat visitor to the Hawaiian Islands and have come to learn that the proximity to the beautiful ocean can also cause problems. The salt air wreaks havoc on appliances, and the smaller islands can have supply issues with parts and skilled repair people. Our Rental agency did their best to solve our problems and were generous (a Liliko"i Pie!) in their apology. Yes, I would stay here again.

My husband and I rented home for our extended family ( two sons , their wives and four young granddaughters ). The rental agency was great, helped with delivery of baby items, and kept us updated on rental information. They were in constant communication. Home is beautiful, clean and well stocked with towels, kitchen supplies and even laundry soap. Plenty of seating at pool and well stocked with snorkel equipment, beach chairs, floats and sand toys. The location can’t be topped. We were right on the beach, great snorkeling in front of home and we were visited nightly by large sea turtles. The view is unbelievable from both levels. We walked to nearby shopping center for shopping, bars, restaurants and a farmers market. And of course shave ice. Grand daughters loved the pool and walking to baby beach a few steps away. The location can’t be topped. Perfect for families!!

We had a fantastic stay at Hale Ma’ana Hou!!! We absolutely loved it. The beachfront location of this home is amazing! It’s literally a matter of steps to basically be on your own private beach and you have your own private pool. We had a couple issues with the washer and the air conditioner upstairs, but Brenda and Chela (from Garden Island Properties) were super responsive and had both fixed and/or replaced during our stay. The home is a bit on the older side so some things may need to be upgraded in the future. For example, some of the windows/hardware will probably need to be replaced as they were challenging to open and close. But overall, the house is really well maintained, has a spacious layout to accommodate large groups and its ocean view and location can’t be beat. We had so much fun at this home and would highly recommend staying at Hale Ma’ana Hou.

This was the best family vacation we hav3 had. We visited with my 3 sons and 2 daughters in law. The house was perfect for us. It’s a terrific designed home for groups who also want to escape occasionally to other areas for privacy. The management company was first class and very attentive. The house is clean and well maintained. The home was very well stocked and provided everything we needed for our 10 days there. The ocean views and nightly sunsets are absolutely stunning. Having a private beach where we could swim and snorkel was a luxury. Thank you for everything. We are filled with gratitude for such an awesome experience. ( One suggestion I would make, is to switch up 2 bedrooms. One of the bedrooms upstairs shares a Jack and Jill. I would move that King sized bed to the basement bedroom that currently has 2 twins. Of done that way it would provide 4 couples with private bathrooms and a bedroom for children connected to parents etc.:

The wait was much worth it! This family holiday was supposed to happen back in 2019 but then unfortunately COVID happened. I truly believe everything happens for a reason. Our stay here at Hanaa mou....( check spelling) has brought so many lasting memories to our family. The location was perfect and views were amazing!! The sunsets were absolutely just breathtaking and stunning beyond words. My 7 year old daughter enjoyed seeing the turtles on the beach every night and boogie boarding on baby beach. These will be memories she will have forever and I am beyond grateful for that. LOTS of dolphin and whale sightings right from the balcony.... (except for the times it ended up being snorklers. Hahahahah) However, the 10 foot tiger shark that was feeding in 2 feet of water right in front of the house, was a bit nervy but also quite exciting as you don't see that everyday! The kitchen was phenomenal for cooking meals. Tons of utensils and kitchen gadgets that made things so much easier. My dad and brother in law much appreciated the brand new high quality bbq and made our fresh steaks and Ahi turn out just perfectly!! Would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend to all our friends. Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay as a family to celebrate my parents 40th wedding anniversary. The one and only suggestion to be made is to have better quality soaps in the bathrooms. When staying in such a phenomenal high end home in such a beautiful place, it's nice to feel like you're staying at a 5 star hotel. We are from Canada and if we could offer a suggestion Rocky Mountain Soap Company has amazing beautiful soaps that are all natural and have made our experience at places memorable. We can't thank you enough for your generosity in sharing your beautiful home with our family and all 6 of us are so grateful for the memories we have created here!

We brought our kids and grandkids for my 60th birthday and were lucky enough to have stayed in this beautiful home. It was everything and more that we were looking for. The location is amazing for watching the sunset off the patio and overlooking the ocean. The views are breath taking. The pool was wonderful to have for the kids and we spent many hours swimming and having dinners on the patio. The beach below the house was such a special treat and the snorkleling was the best in the area. The house has everything you would need and all the rooms were spacious and accommodated all of us. The staff at Garden Island were so helpful. They were friendly and always available for any questions we had. We have been to Kauai several times and this home is definitely our favorite. Cant wait to go back. Mahalo for the memories we were able to make there.

My family loved this house. The new owners have made updates that are tasteful, comfortable, and fit the setting beautifully. We spent the majority of the week in the pool listening to the ocean crash just feet away. Best of both worlds! The owners had mentioned that the snorkeling right there was some of the best they had experienced in Kauai, and we would agree! I think we saw the whole cast of Finding Nemo. We also enjoyed watching a turtle feeding on the rocks right on the other side of the sea wall. The balcony is a great place to start your day, and possibly an even better better place to end it - the sunsets were gorgeous. The rental agents were also very helpful and responsive throughout the process. In short, we would rent this home again in a heartbeat.

My family and I (9 people) spent a week at Hale Ma’ana Hou in April 2022 and this place was wonderful. The location can’t be beat. Better snorkeling right off the house than what we had on a tour! House was clean! Parking is limited but we used the garage and with 3 cars there was no problem. It would have been nice to have a kuerig. Also the ice maker is hard pressed to keep up with 9 people, but we bought ice at local stores ~0.5 miles away. Loved the pool! Would definitely recommend this place and would come back here again!! Very convenient to shops and restaurants.

This is a beautiful spacious house at a wonderful location, within walking distance to beaches and shopping center. It was perfect for our family of 7. The furnishings were very nice. There were plenty of beach towels for our use, also boogie boards and some snorkeling equipment were available. It would have been nice to have a beach umbrella also, as most condos that we have stayed in have. The property management was very responsive to our needs. There were a few maintenance issues with the house, however. The ice machine and water dispenser in the fridge only worked intermittently. The windows were not very clean and because they are old many were difficult or impossible to open and close. And upon our arrival we were told that the A/C was not in working order in the upper floor of the house. In spite of these issues I would recommend this rental.

We were lucky enough to spend a week in the Hale Ma'ana Hour house. The view is absolutely spectacular, so time spent on the upstairs deck and in the garden downstairs was the best. Access to the little beach in front as well as two easy beaches within walking distance was an added bonus. Some aspects of the house are slightly tired, but we were very pleased with the responses from the rental agency on anything we needed. We would absolutely recommend this property and hopefully we'll be back as well.

Location was excellent house was beautiful except for a few minor details. Their conditioner in the kitchen living room did not work. The icemaker didn’t dispense there were no washcloths in for bathrooms. The towels in the master bathroom were in a garbage sack in the closet. We could have called property management but we’re too busy.

A family gathering for members from the mainland and Australia. Wonderful house with AC (!) and great amenities. Kitchen fully stocked, incredible pool, lots of pool and beach items, floats, snorkel gear. Incredible views and easy access to water. Great location with stores and restaurants in close proximity. Only issue was ice maker in fridge worked sporadically and didn’t dispense. Maintenance person didn’t arrive until our last day.

The experience was very good. The views of the ocean are spectacular. Right on the ocean! This was our sixth trip to Kauai so we have stayed in many places. This house has a $1 million view! I would definitely recommend this house and Garden Island Rentals to anyone!

Our entire experience was wonderful! The home was beautiful and everything we had pictured for our trip. The staff at garden island rentals was very helpful when I was looking for the “perfect” home for my family! From the pictures we did expect a little more beach in front of the house to enjoy the ocean out the back door.

We have rented this house for a family vacation on two successive years. We have 6 adults and two grandchildren. The house is large, very well equipped, and well maintained. The view over the small lighted bay is exceptional. I do not hesitate in recommending this house for a family getaway.
