We came back to Hale Nalu and this time, along with our daughter and her fiancé, we invited my 2 sisters from the east coast. It was like seeing Kauai with fresh eyes. The house was its stunning self! Spotless. The views as unreal and amazing as ever. The home provides all the creature comforts one could want for a beach vacation. We will return.<br/>

We returned to Hale Nalu after renting it almost 20 years ago. It proved even better than we remembered. The home was spotless. The views were spectacular. And the sound of the ocean was transformative. Hale Nalu has everything we needed for the perfect, chill Kauai escape. Having plenty of beach towels, beach chairs, and boogie boards was bonus. On our last day, 2 monk seals came onshore at the baby beach right next door! We will return- and this time we won&#x2019;t wait 20 years!

If you want ocean front and walking distance to shops/restaurants this is your ideal stay in paradise. The property mgr was very responsive. House was well equipped.<br/>Suggest to owners that uncomfortable seating in living room be replaced along with well worn bath towels.

Epic views and a well appointed house conspired to deliver a memorable idyll on Baby Beach. We wanted for nothing, and delighted in spoiling Kona, the on-site kitty. The two master suites were impeccably furnished for comfort and style. Our only minor issue was a slight musty smell &#x2014; not unusual for an oceanfront home. And binoculars or a spotting score would be a welcome touch for whale watching. If I were to choose one spot on earth to savor the sounds of the sea and whispering palms, it would be the hammock at Hale Nalu.

Everything about Hale Nalu was perfect for our three-generation family (the youngest gen comprising a preschooler and a toddler). The house is beautiful and very well equipped. The lawn is great for kids to safely play, and Baby Beach is right there. We also drove just a few minutes to the beaches at Kiahuna and Poipu, and a little farther to Lydgate. The location is quiet and private, but everything we needed was close by. Garden Island Rentals was responsive, and the house was spotless when we arrived. Gear included plenty of towels and beach chairs, a good beach umbrella, toys for the kids, and an old boogie board. We loved making friends with Kona, the homeless cat who stopped by morning and evening in hopes of a meal (the owners provide the food), and my husband and I joined Poipu Kai Tennis Club for a week to join in their drop-in doubles. Our favorite family-friendly restaurant was Kauai Island Brewing in Koloa&#x2014;excellent pizzas, salads, and burgers&#x2014;and we also liked Mucho Aloha, Brennecke&#x2019;s, and the poke and açaí at the Kukuiula Market. Oh, and the Thai food truck is good, too. We very much hope to return!

What a wonderful stay we had at this beautiful vacation home. Perfect location. There were 6 adults, my husband and me, and our 2 daughters and their husband,/partner. The hot tub was a hit.<br/>2 things that I would recommend the third bedroom should have queen bed in it and more coffee mugs!

This was the first vacation in 10 years with all my grown children. We all flew to Kauai from different parts of the USA. And we could not have asked for a better vacation. My family and I had a wonderful time! The house was even better than the pictures. Very well kept, and clean. The views of the ocean were awesome. Waking up to the sound of the ocean everyday was calming and refreshing. We enjoyed our meals on the outside patio every day overlooking the ocean. The hot tub was a great addition to our relaxing experience especially after a long day of sight seeing and hiking. The property manager was very attentive and helpful. Would definintely stay here again.

Words or pictures cannot convey the beauty of this house - it's location, the view, the amenities, the top of the line fixtures and furnishings. Truly unbelievable. If you are like us you will look at the view each day and wonder if it's is! GIR was easy and pleasant to deal with. Everything you need is provided including beach chairs and towels, a beach umbrella, and various snorkeling stuff. Only negative was the low key construction going on next door. A bit of power tool noise was heard but wasn't too bad. Hopefully they'll be finished next year when we come back.

This home was everything as describes plus more! It had everything you could possibly need (down to bandaids, peroxoide, and. bug spray). The location was fantastic, right on baby beach where you can snorkel and just enjoy the sunrise and sunsets. The house was immaculately clean and had plenty of room for everybody in our l family. We&#x2019;ve stayed in many homes along the South shore and this is one of our favs! We enjoyed the airy open vibe of the living space with a wonderful covered lanai for meals Al fresco, rain or shine! Loved star gazing from the hot tub. Location, access to shops, beaches a plus! Rented some bikes and the whole family enjoyed riding around the town from this great location. Kitchen well stocked for family cookups. Loved having beach chairs, umbrellas, loads of beach towels, such a plus! Will be back soon! Garden Island was very responsive and helpful. Easy in and out.

This is a nice waterfront location. Hard to beat close to the water views. Great proximity to everything in the Poipu area. The house is well equipped with most all that you would need in the kitchen and bathrooms. Beach towels and chairs are included. Because of the location, the noise from the strong surf is rather prominent and the sounds from Baby Beach can remind you of the appropriateness of it's name. We wouldn't let this minor drawback stop us from renting it again. Garden Island rentals was responsive and did a good job.

Perfect layout and location for our family. Our daughters and their husbands thoroughly enjoyed the house and the location. Service provided by Garden Island Rentals was spectacular. Too early for whales but we enjoyed turtles, monk seals and dolphins right out front.

Hale Nalu was perfect! 3 bed/3bath. The ocean was literally outside your wall of windows. Baby Beach was next door. We had a wonderful time with our family at HALE NALU!<br/>We were the first guests to stay there since the opening of Hawaii after 8 month of closure due to the Covid pandemic. The only reason I gave the general condition only 4 starts was because of some glitches that were apparently due to closure of the property and not put back to working order. They were fixed as soon as we called the rental company and they were very helpful. We would stay there Again without hesitation.

They were fixed as soon as we called the rental company and they were very helpful. We would stay there Again without hesitation.

This is our fourth time to rent this property for a week. We hope to return again next year. Perfect spot for a relaxing getaway for our family of grandparents/parents and two young children. Open the windows, feel the breeze off the water, share a meal on the lanai. We shopped at nearby farmers markets (Saturday at the community college and Wednesday at the nearby shopping center), walked to the nearby restaurants, lolled at the beach with the kids. Very slowed down pace. Kitchen well supplied, lots of room to prepare meals. Yard is perfect for little ones. Steps from the reef-protected bay, which is safe for small children.

This was our 2nd time renting Hale Nalu, the first time was about 10 years ago and both times the property did not let us down. Though the weather was not ideal we still managed and had a great time. I found a missing rental key (someone must have lost in the past) and cleaned out the blocked gutter downspouts for you. We also named the outside cat Stitch! Only recommendation is possibly trying to get AC for the downstairs bedrooms. That would help tremendously for the humid nights. Overall, a great time!!!

Overall, the house is wonderful with all the features you want in a beachside vacation destination. The views from this property are awesome and the sounds of the surf could not be better. Every night we were treated with wonderful sunsets from the comfortable back lanai and once sunset passed, we enjoyed the relaxing spa before retreating to bed. The house is very tastefully decorated and appointed and you&#x2019;ll not need much more than your food and drink to enjoy your stay. Rooms are spacious and restful and do not worry about the lack of a/c, as there are plenty of breezes flowing through the home. The neighborhood is very quiet and an extremely short distance to great eating and shopping options.

This House is lovely. Great location to walk to beach, coffee, mall, restaurants and resorts. Of course you can drive. The baths and kitchen have been remodeled and are great. The kitchen has everything you would need to cook!<br/>You can&#x2019;t beat sitting on the deck at sunset, beautiful! Easy access to Baby beach and tide pools.

Spotless, artfully decorated space, but not filled with precious breakables you must stow away from curious hands, with entire walls of south-facing sliding door windows for natural lighting and ocean breezes. 5 minute walk to trendy shopping center with pizza, burgers and upmarket eateries, a pricey but well-supplied organic grocer and fish store, drug store. House on tiny lane with many walkers, so comfortable on foot and quiet feel. 1 minute walk to a reef-enclosed flat water beach for sand castles and kiddie snorkeling. Master bedroom upstairs is dreamy big. Plenty of beach toys, boogie boards. Hot tub on lanai well maintained.
