This one bedroom one bath oceanfront unit is on the fourth floor of Kuhio Shores condominium located in sunny Poipu, Kauai. Fronting a sandy bay this four story complex offers some of the best ocean views, swimming and snorkeling available in Poipu! The interior of this unit is decorated with comfortable island living in mind and includes an exquisite Sleep Number Queen Bed and wireless high-speed Internet access to make your stay as comfortable as possible. With your private veranda you can watch the sunrise while sipping your morning coffee, spend the day watching for turtles or whales offshore, or even take in our spectacular sunset while sipping on your favorite evening cocktail. For comfort, location, and price, this Kauai vacation rental is a great deal for any couple looking to experience Kauai at its finest. Now fully air conditioned!

Washers and dryers are located near the elevator closes to the unit. It is coin operated.

This property includes beach chairs, beach towels, a cooler and umbrella. Please feel free to call us if any of these items are missing during your stay.

We enjoyed our stay in this well-equipped, comfortable condo! The top floor is definitely best for turtle watching and whale spotting.<br/><br/>One note: laundry amenities mentioned in the listing are outside the condo in a common area, coin-op. A planning FYI, if you are washing cloth diapers every day, like we were.

Fantastic property! Loved watching the turtles and surfers from the lanei, and the evening parakeet show is really something to see. The property was very clean and well appointed. Easy access to anywhere on Kauai. We would stay here again (this is our second rental at 412). As for the complex, it is very well maintained.

We have stayed at Kuhio Shores on many occasions but this condo is now our favorite by far! It has everything you need for a perfect stay on Kauai. The owners are very thoughtful and didn't skimp on the amenities! And Island Garden Rentals was always there to answer any questions we had. And they made our Anniversary trip very special with beautiful flowers when we got to the condo! <br/><br/>The most amazing view you will every get along with surfers every day. We even saw a huge rainbow. Mix that with the turtles and you have a great experience! I am already planning our next trip! <br/><br/>Thank you for such great hospitality!

Unique in that we got 12 inches of rain in 12 hours. The view is extraordinary and the location cannot be beat. The sliding screen door to the balcony is totally shot and needs to be replaced. the bathroom needs an update.

I couldn&#x2019;t say better things about my stay at Kuhio Shores. The condo was spotless and packed full of all of the necessities. The oceanside view was spectacular and allowed me to hear the waves crashing every night. The host was very friendly and communication was easy and available. 10/10 recommend!

The views are amazing and we enjoyed watching the surfers and turtles. The condo may be a bit outdated but it is wonderfully maintained, organized and stocked with anything you may need. It was also very comfortable, accessible and full of light. The rental agent checked in with us several times throughout our stay to be sure things were good. Would definitely rent this condo again!

Our 3 week trip to Hawaii consisted of 5 different vacation rentals on 3 islands. Kuhio Shores #412 was our favorite! This unit is not only beautiful and very well located, but the owners have thought of every single possible thing a visitor may need or want. A vase of fresh flowers and a personalized note greeted us. The kitchen was FULLY stocked. The beach accessories were amazing, consisting of high quality chairs, umbrella, snorkel gear, towels and a large beach bag. The hall closet had many extras as well, such as a first aid kit and organized containers of those random home necessities you often tend to need. There were even old, throw away cloths to use for cleaning muddy hiking boots! The Sleep Number bed was very comfortable. Many evenings were spent on the balcony watching the multitude of surfers. The binoculars provided were very helpful! We discovered some of these amazing athletes were children! You don't want to miss this! When we return to Kauai we will schedule our travel dates around the availability of this unit.

Perfect location, stunning ocean views. The only thing I would have said needing addressed is the carpet in the condo. There should not be carpet in the tropical climate. There was a musty smell in the condo. The view made up for it, and everything else was great!

This was our third time staying at this condo and every time we are just in awe of the view. You are guaranteed to see sea turtles surfing the waves every day, that never gets old. We loved snorkeling at Lawai Beach in the morning and seeing many tropical fish and of course more turtles. The location is great, with easy walking to several restaurants and shops, and a quick drive to Poipu Beach.<br/>The condo is well stocked with beach essentials- chairs, umbrella, coolers, towels and even snorkel gear. Highly recommend staying here.

Wow! We chose this unit because of the amazing view! But did not expect the amazing sound of the waves crashing on the shore, the sight of sea turtles happily swimming in the current and watching the surfers catch their waves.<br/>Beautifully appointed condo decorated in a calming beachy tone, extra comfy bed, quiet air conditioning and all you need is their for your cooking and beach needs<br/>Highly recommmend !<br/>Beautiful relaxing vibe!<br/>

I just spent 4 wonderful nights at this condo and really enjoyed my stay. The condo was clean and well-appointed. Having AC was a nice extra! The roar of the ocean, the views of the ocean from the lanai, watching the turtles swim about- these were all highlights. Watching the turtles come to shore at Poipu beach in the evenings was quite a treat. The only downside was not having laundry facilities in the unit itself. The ones in the building were always in use at night so it was hard to wash clothes, and it was $2.50 for washing and for drying (quarters needed!). I do hope I can return someday!

The view was impressive. Every afternoon we would watch the surfers riding big waves off shore. A good snorkeling beach was about 100 years away, unfortunately we did not realize that there was snorkeling gear for 3 in the unit, so we rented. Good thing to know, will save you close to $100. One of the best restaurants in town is right next door. Would definately rent again.

This condo was perfect! It is well stocked and in a perfect location to all the Kauai south shore attractions. The furniture was comfy and the owner has so many extras making it feel like home away from home. The grills at the complex were great and Garden Island Rentals was easy to communicate with. We highly recommend Akihito Shores 412!!

What an amazing location! We come every year and are not disappointed ever. We see breaching whales, sea turtles, surfers, weddings next door at the fancy island restaurant (the Beach House). Incredible snorkeling at the beach next to the restaurant. Very clean. Comfortable beds. One of us likes air-conditioning and one doesn't, so we had A/C only in bedroom during the day, we appreciated that we had that option. Loads of cooking supplies, beach gear, etc. Well worth the money: sunrises and sunsets are gorgeous. Quiet on 4th floor. Only issue this year, I think maybe the management company is under new ownership? New names of employees, confusion over lockbox code, and slow response when we couldn't get it due to being texted the wrong code. Despite that tough moment, we can't say enough good about this condo. (They did make it up to us with a gift certificate to the Beach House!)

The location is great. The apartment is well equipped (don't go out and buy anything until you look in the cupboards - it might be there). There are all the beach toys you need. The balcony and big picture window for breakfast have great views. The AC is efficient but a little funky - it gurgles periodically - not a problem. It was clean and well maintained. If you plan to eat at the Beachclub, which is lovely and next door, book well before you arrive. We would love to stay again.

We stayed for a week at Kuhio Shores. Our unit was very clean and had all the amenities. Importantly, it's located next to the Beach House restaurant where there is excellent snorkeling and it is within walking distance to Poipu Beach. Overall, it was an excellent stay and Kuhio Shores is highly recommended.

This condo is like walking into a home away from home. Only with a fabulous view and the sound of surf surrounding you. Hawaii is being pretty Covid careful, which is good, but the necessity of it is getting tedious (thank you antivaxers). The A/C wasn&#x2019;t working and they came by more than half way through our stay to tell us they couldn&#x2019;t fix it. I remember staying there before the A/C was installed, and it didn&#x2019;t used to be necessary. Unfortunately with the planet cooking, it would have been better, had it worked.

This was our second stay at Kuhio Shores #412 and it was just as amazing as the first time. Waking up to the sound of waves and the sight of tons of turtles in the surf out front makes this place so special. Snorkeling at Lawai Beach next store is the best on the island. We will be back again.

Great location. Clean and stocked with all the amenities required. On site staff were very helpful. Good access to the beach for swimming and snorkeling. Would have preferred a King Bed (queen bed is on site) but we managed ok.

Another great vacation at Kuhio Shores. #412 has everything you need, including an amazing view of the reef. You'll see tons of sea turtles and enjoy watching the skilled surfers. The condo has a VERY well-equipped kitchen and all the amenities you could ask for: snorkel gear, boogie boards, beach umbrella and chairs. The bed is super comfy and the AC in the bedroom will ensure a great sleep. Lawaii Beach is steps away and has awesome snorkeling (although waves can be a little rough - best for experienced snorkelers). Can't wait to come back!

Location is perfect to relax evenings and mornings, and to explore the island each day.Loved having coffee and breakfast on the lanai each day. If you need fancy amenities and a crowded, busy property, look elsewhere. The sound of the waves on the rocks lulls to sleep at night and wakes in the morning. Lawn area was shared by all residents to enjoy the sunsets and to soak up the sun while watching the surfers. The condo has snorkel gear, beach chair, towels, and even boogie boards that can be used at Lawaii beach, which is used by locals and tourists alike. If you have questions, reach out to the owners who are caring and responsive. We appreciated the security, cleanliness, equipment, and onsite information. But we LOVED being right on the water.

The unit has a great view with the only sound being the ocean waves. Welcome book is full of great options; AC and fans worked well; comfortable bed; Hot water on-demand; and well stocked closet with chairs, fins, masks, etc. Overall the unit and its "comforts" are excellent. The only items preventing a 5 star are more associated with the Condo property itself, mainly the grilling area is literally right next to the garbage dumpsters. May be better to block off a parking spot and designate it with grills and chairs. Also, even knowing the birds in trees are there, do NOT park under any of them or you'll be in a literal sh*t storm...

We really enjoy spending time on Kauai. Kuhio Shores is a perfect location, convenient to everything. We have stayed in 6 different condos at Kuhio Shores & from our experience 412 is absolutely the best. The owners really have thought of every detail to enhance your stay. Beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, quality furnishings, beautiful art work & a very well equipped kitchen.The view is truly amazing. They have made every effort to enhance your visit to Paradise.

The best condo at Kuhio Shores. Spotlessly clean, well furnished & decorated & the best equipped kitchen I have ever experienced in a rental unit.Great views of Whales, rainbows, surfers & turtles from the Lanai.

The view and location are the best. I&#x2019;ve been at kuhio shores before, and what makes this unit stand out is the equipment. They have everything you can imagine you&#x2019;ll need from snorkeling to picnicking to professional kitchen equipment. Even sharp knives, which in my experience, are rare. Didn&#x2019;t use much of the stuff, but it&#x2019;s nice to have just in case.

412 Kuhio Shores is the premier two bedroom unit in the condominium. The fourth floor views of the surf and sea are unmatched and you have the bonus of getting the cool trade wind breezes at night.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The bed was extremely comfortable. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. It was everything that we had hoped for with a beautiful ocean view, the opportunity to see sea turtles n the surf, and a beautiful sunrise and sunset sky. The condo was very clean. The air conditioning was especially appreciated at night.

Ideally located for the sights and sounds of the ocean. The owners have thought of everything to ensure you have a great time on the island. Beach chairs, reef shoes, activity guides and recommendations, security safe, binoculars, snorkle gear, and on and on. Sunrise and sunset with a southerly orientation, so you don't actually see the sun (in May), but the views are still amazing. Snorkling around the condo complex was rewarding, although a bit rough at times getting in and out of the water. Don't park under a palm tree at night as the nightly visiting flocks of parakeets will leave deposits on your vehicle.

This was our second visit and stay at Kuhio Shores and it is an exceptional property, so clean, bright and airy it is a great place to stay everything you need and of course right on the ocean. Would certainly go back in the future and would recommend this to anyone considering staying in the area.

Our stay in 412 was everything we possibly could have hoped for. The view was to die for. Loved breakfast or a nightcap on the lanai. Don't know which was more wonderful - the sound of the waves or the magnificent starry sky! Several friends were staying at Kuhio Shores at the same time and everyone agreed that our condo was the most well-decorated and equipped. Would rent it again in a heartbeat!

We enjoyed our stay in your condo. The view was the best. We have and ocean view from our home in Kona but hearing the waves and seeing the water so close was a treat. We did not cook etc. but there was everything you would need to do so. Mahalo for a few relaxing days with beautiful sunrises and sunsets.<br/><br/>

This place is quiet, and beautiful. The view is exceptional and I way prefer having a condo with a kitchen and privacy to a hotel with someone rooting in your room every day and eating out 3x a day at huge expense and way too many calories.
