Description

Poipu Sands #427 is a luxury 2 bedroom condo with 2 large master suites, each with king beds. Both have attached full bathrooms adjoining and the entire unit was remodeled in the summer of 2009 with new carpet and furniture installed in January 2015. This is a very lovely property, with beautiful ocean views from the lanai and the interior of the unit. Kitchen is fully up to date and offers plenty of room and amenities.

Private tennis courts and a large pool that is never crowded are just two of the great things about the Poipu Sands complex. The Grand Hyatt Resort and Spa is located due east of the property and is absolutely gorgeous. Many nice restaurants and things to do, morning coffee, evening hula shows and music! Happy hour on the lanai and the world class Poipu Bay Golf course is a 5 minute walk away. Shipwreck Beach is located just out the front door and just a short stroll to the sandy beach. Poipu Sands #427 is a spacious and up to date 2 bedroom condo that you will find meets every expectation for your Kauai dream vacation!

This property also includes beach chairs, beach towels, a cooler, and a beach umbrella for your enjoyment.

The condo is nice and clean and had all the amenities, we were impressed to even have beach chairs. One of our concerns was no air conditioning but they supplied fans and we could air out the condo in the evening so it was comfortable. The bbq&#x2019;s outside are brand new and a short walk. <br/>The rental company was usually quick to respond to questions. Unfortunately, after paying for a late departure it was cancelled on us two days before our departure. They did set us up at the athletic club to store our belongings and gave us a refund but it hampered our last day plans due to the inconvenience.<br/><br/>Would definitely stay again it is a great location and quiet grounds, short walk to shipwreck beach for sunrises.

We are two couples who stayed here for 2 weeks. Would come back in a minute. Had everything we needed for a great stay. The only improvements I would suggest is to have Keurig coffee pods ( both regular & decaf) available on arrival. The kitchen is well equipped for basic cooking but not perfect for a serious cook. Appliances work very well, location is ideal & management company is very attentive. Condo is spotless. Had a really wonderful time. Thank you.

Lovely condo decorated nicely and well equipped in the kitchen nice view the patio table was a high top and not real comfortable to sit at, lower chairs would be better Unit is not air conditioned which we didn&#x2019;t realize Not much breeze but fans worked ok I would only rent A/C in the future

This was a very clean unit. We enjoyed everything about it, but were a little disappointed that it did not have anything for the beach, i.e., beach chairs, cooler. We were there with another family and my in-laws, all in different units. Their units were supplied with beach chairs, tennis rackets, coolers, and many other things. We ended up using their beach chairs.

This place was so beautiful! We loved having the conveniences of a washer and dryer and full kitchen. The rooms were large and comfortable. We stayed out on the lanai every opportunity we could. Property was quiet and well kept. I will definitely recommend this place to my friends.

Wonderful views of ocean & shipwreck beach! Comfortable updated condo for 4 adults. Very spacious with beach/pool towels, beach stuff (chairs, umbrella, boogie board, cooler), keurig (bring pods), & full size W/D. Condo is on 2nd floor so you'll need to lug your suitcase up a flight of stairs but the views on the patio are amazing. Owner provided kitchen detergents, trash bags,paper products, laundry detergent, bathroom shampoo, conditioner & body wash. No A/C which was difficult for 1 night of our 4 night March stay. It cooled off so the breezes and the portable fans kept us cool for the other 3 nights as long as the bedroom doors were left open. Only con was that we only had 1 pillow (which wasn't very comortable) and the pillow case was stained. Tried to fix with property manager but there was no response. Would definitely stay here again. The ocean breeze and sounds were property's best feature!!

We have stayed in many different Poipu condominiums and this one is the nicest. The furnishings aren&#x2019;t the typical &#x201C;island&#x201D; bamboo. They were plush and comfortable. The condo has a beautiful ocean view. Because it is second floor we could leave the lanai sliding windows open and night and we could hear the ocean!

As soon as we enter this condo, life slows down and we are enchanted with the feeling of aloha. Beautiful sunrises begin our day and watching turtles come ashore at sunset ... that is our clock ! We have stayed at this condo a number of times and will be returning twice in 2023. The closest beach is less than a five minute walk and we love the trail along the ocean which begins two minutes from the condo. We saw whale spouts from the kitchen and from the lanai. The communication is seamless with the management company and we sincerely appreciate that. We excited for our return trips.

We had a fantastic 8 day vacation in this condo. The location was perfect and the accommodations exactly as described. Most homes in Kauai do not have AC and this was no exception but that really wasn't a problem even in August. They had plenty of fans which brought the breeze from the ocean in. The kitchen was well stocked which we made use of and they even had some nice touches like fresh flowers waiting for us. We used the lanai extensively and the furniture was comfortable. Parking wasn't a problem and we were minutes from lots of restaurants and beaches on the south side. Gorgeous view of the ocean from the balcony and a beautiful ocean-side path right outside the door.

Clean and well stocked, even all the beach things you&#x2019;d need. The lanai has a nice view of the ocean, looking towards the beach at the Hyatt. The unit is located right next to the Grand Hyatt. Nice walk in either direction. This double master was perfect for 2 gals enjoying a getaway. Very quiet. The front room you can hear the waves at night. The back room has the streetlight shining in a bit. Great place to stay to take day trips to all parts of Kauai.

My daughter and I had a wonderful time staying at Poipu Sands! Fantastic location in Poipu. The pictures were spot on. The property was clean. The pool was huge. We were able to walk right to the beach. <br/>We had good communication with the host and loved that we were able to get a later check out time. <br/>I would highly recommend this property and look forward to staying here again in the future. <br/>I also recommend Smith Family Garden Luau. Fantastic.

We have been staying in vacation rentals for years and I would say this was one of the best experiences we've ever had. The view from the lanai is even better than you see from the pictures on the website. Beautiful sunrise! The unit had everything we needed and is in great shape. Garden Island Rentals were great to work with as well. The beach chairs in the unit were beat up pretty bad so I texted to ask if they had any spares in the office I could pick up. They told me that they'd take care of it and the next day they brought over 4 brand new Tommy Bahama chairs from Costco.

Greatly enjoyed our stay at this well furnished condo in a perfect location. Enjoyed relaxing on the Lanai with a view of the ocean. Just a short walk to the local beach and a short drive to Poipu Beach for great snorkeling during the day and watching the sea turtles just prior to sunset. Enjoyed splurging for a dinner at Tide Pools at the Hyatt (adjacent property) and also enjoyed a couple less expensive lunches (Poke) at the Koloa Fish Market.

We had an absolutely wonderful time in the Poipu Sands condo. It was in a perfect location and we walked to various beaches and restaurants. It provided a comfortable and relaxing base for meals and family games in the evening. The surroundings are stunning and it was an incredible respite from regular life. The balcony was a great place for morning coffee with gorgeous views of the ocean. The condo was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for our vacation. We cooked a lot at the condo and used the bbq that was on property. Check in was seamless.

We had a wonderful two week vacation in Kauai. This condo was in an excellent location. It was clean, large, beautifully furnished, and had a well stocked kitchen. We grilled and cooked in the condo at times, and had everything we needed (cooking utensils, pots and pans, etc.). It was convenient to have the washer/dryer to wash beach towels. Sleeping with windows open and listening to waves crashing was perfect. We hope to return to this same condo next year. I couldn't hope for a better experience.

The layout of the condo , closeness of the parking area and beach, and easy access to the beautiful pool area were additional reasons why we enjoyed staying here. We already have another reservation for this unit in the future. There is a breathtaking ocean trail near the complex that takes you to indescribable views of nature ! You need to see it in order to appreciate the true beauty. From the condo, one can walk to a fruit and veggie stand with a great variety of super fresh produce that they grow. We love to prepare our own meals and then eat on the lanai. The location is perfect, right next to the Hayat and Shipwreck Beach. The condo is big and comfortable with a large patio. Beds were comfortable. Having a laundry room meant we could pack less. We like to cook so sharper knives would be a bonus, but that&#x2019;s my only complaint and would not deter me from renting again. There isn&#x2019;t AC and we did not need it. The open windows kept the condo perfectly cool.

Pleasant setting with great central access to the whole island! Quiet, clean and comfortable with all the amenities of home. I would recommend this property to friends and family for future stays. Keoki's Paradise is a must for Hula Pie!

Essentially two master bedrooms with king size beds make this a good place for couples to share. Good location with proximity to Shipwreck beach and the Hyatt, which has exceptional restaurants. Also very close to Poipu beach, Brenecke's, Starbucks, etc.<br/> <br/>It was so nice to be greeted with fresh cut flowers. Everything was neat and clean when we arrived. Parking is simple. Retrieving the keys, etc. was very easy. Furnishing is very nice for a rental. Felt very roomy for the four of us with the nice deck and roomy living room. Great price compared to staying in a hotel. <br/><br/>Guests should be aware that, like many places in Kauai, this does not have air conditioning, but there are ceiling fans. Our bed was very comfortable (in the larger master) but our friends said that the mattress in the other room had seen better days. Might be time to replace that and then the place would be perfect!

This condo is in a great location with wonderful views of the ocean and Shipwreck Beach. We had every thing we needed in the condo to make our meals when we chose to do so. There was a slight glitch when we tried to open the lock box because we had the wrong code but someone from Garden Island got back to us right away with the right code. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Our family has vacation in Poipu for over 20 years! We have stayed in vacation rentals all over Poipu. 427 is the best yet! The location is perfect, the condo furnishing are far better than advertised, the unit was very clean and ready for us. The management group has cover all of the bases! Well, done!<br/>We will be back next year.

Overall - excellent. Loved the ocean views and morning walks along the shoreline. A couple minor items: the lock code was wrong when we arrived but was solved ina reasonable amount of time and the number of BBQs (1) was very limited.

We stayed 12 days at Poipu Sands, unit 427. Great ocean views and convenient location to both Koloa and Poipu. Also, the beach trail was basically right outside our door. The grounds are well-maintained, with a lovely variety of tropical plants and flowers. <br/>We really appreciated having beach chairs and coolers, as well as plenty of beach towels. Also, it was so nice to have a working washer and dryer, as well as plenty of linens. <br/>The unit itself was clean, although not sparkling. We found a few dishware items that weren't quite clean, so just ran everything through the dishwasher once and we were good to go. The dish drainer and silverware holder were both dirty and also got washed in the dishwasher. One overhead fan wouldn't shut off, so we called Garden Island Rentals. The maintenance guy showed up right away to replace a battery. He was very friendly and capable. <br/>A few suggestions for the unit: <br/>Please get some better skillets. We made breakfast most mornings and the pans wouldn't sit flat on the stove due to warping of the bottoms. Also, why not invest in some curtains or blinds for the north bedroom? The light shines in from the street lights, which was a bit annoying. <br/>Other than those minor issues, we were very happy at #427 and would definitely stay there again. <br/>I have to add a note here about Garden Island Rentals- they were great to work with! Very friendly and quick to respond to questions during the booking process. Once we arrived, Jenny was on-the-spot whenever we called. A really nice touch was that they left us a card and nice selection of welcoming gifts to celebrate our birthdays. Thank you!
