  • This property is in a Tsunami Evacuation Zone. In the event a tsunami is detected, the County of Kauai’s Office of Emergency Preparedness will activate the evacuation plan. What a stunner of a Poipu property! The lanai is arguably one of the best in all of Kauai. Great kitchen to prepare meals (or to bring in catered meals from Living Foods market - highly recommend!). Plenty of room for our party of 7, including the separate cottage unit above the garage. We would return without hesitation!

It’s also conveniently located next to Kukuiula Harbor, which is a great place to spend the day And watch the boats coming in and out.

Beautiful home. Fully stocked. Wish we never left! Turtles swimming out front. Perfect pool. Great location. Not too far from small town, food trucks, easy to get to airport, beaches. Only negative is no a/c. We did use apartment over garage and it was hot. Main house not too bad with windows and fans in July. But I would stay there again, even without a/c.

Our family had the most wonderful stay at Kukui'Ula Kai! It was literally the perfect home for our family to vacation together. It was a beautiful and comfortable home with all the amenities we are used to. The lanai and backyard were absolutely out favorite place to spend time! We hope to be able to rent again in September 2024 for a wedding we will be attending.

Great location, fabulous outdoor and indoor spaces, with really nice (new?) pool. Very clean, and comfortable, although showing a little wear and tear from the marine environment. Pool is not heated, although was OK to use in December. Space above garage is rather warm (has less impact from sea breezes), even in December.<br/><br/>We had a great time!

this home is so impressive with amazing views, access to the tide pools and a beautiful pool! Upon arrival we felt like we never wanted to leave and tour the island! An amazing location in a quiet (other than the roosters!), location away from the bustle of tourists. A wonderful walk to Spouting Horn or the Botanical Gardens or along the path to a close-by shopping area. House was perfect for a large family with great ventilation and lots of room to spread out. Towels and linens were wonderful, garden and pool were lovely and well maintained. House needs some maintenance and being right on the water really takes a toll on things. But rental company very responsive to get things resolved. My only suggestion would be for longer term rentals to include cleaning once weekly in contract.

I have stayed at many Garden Island Rentals properties and I have never been disappointed. But what distinguishes this one is the expansive lanai with comfy furniture overlooking the stunning ocean and shaded from the sun. In other words, it is a place you can adore without ever leaving home. And during our early December stay, we saw both t e sunrise and the sunset. Stunning!

We loved our stay. The kids loved the pool, I loved the tidal pools right along the yard, everyone loved the turtles feeding just off shore. If you love the sound of crashing waves, this is the place for you. Plenty of room for the 7 of us.

The house was a vacation in itself. We enjoyed the sound of the crashing waves, swimming in the pool, and walking to the little beach at the end of the street where the locals launched their boats. It was close enough to the Napaali coast and to the Waimea Canyon.
