Kauai’s Festival of Lights
No Kauai Christmas is complete without the Festival of Lights (a much-loved holiday tradition in Lihue each year). The lights and handcrafted decorations are a great way to add a touch of Christmas magic to the holiday for families, couples, and anyone else in the area.

Join the Lights on Rice Parade, which is one of Kauai's favorite holidays. It's a fantastic event that brings the whole of downtown Lihue to life with floats, decorated cars, performers, music, and all the Christmas cheer.
The 2026 parade is on Friday, 4th December. Get there early to find a good viewing spot before it all starts.
